THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR LEARNING
From my point of view, responsibility plays a significant role
when we are learning something. Especially on education, it is necessary to
teach students to be independent learners.
In addition, learners depend on the teacher to identify what needs to be
learned, to prescribe the learning methods, on this case the goal of education is to be the creation of
independent, autonomous learners who
assume responsibility for their own learning. "Fewer students may be
autonomous, responsible learners" Phyllis
Blumberg, Ph.D (2001). I think it is because of the students'
lack confidence in their abilities to learn on their own. We as future teachers
must realize that most of teachers do not use strategies to help our students
take responsibility for their own learning.
On the other hand, I think the responsibility belongs to both the teacher and
the students but the major work on this part is from the teacher because we
should be well-prepared to face those situations about our learners and to
teach them to acquire self-motivation,
and individual responsibility. In conclusion,
as teacher I will encourage students to make decisions about how they learn
best. Create opportunities for them to pursue their own interests and practice
skills in a variety of ways and I won't expect everyone to respond in the same
way. Integrate technology to encourage creative expression of learning.

Dear Amparito,
ResponderBorrarI like your reflection because we as teachers must to promote the interaction between them and we are responsible for the learning and one way to improve could be applying interactive or collaborative strategies in class.
